Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic

The Government of the Kyrgyz Republic has received financing from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) for the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation Corridors 1 and 3 Connector Road Project (Phase 2) - Additional Financing that includes a road safety component. This component is expected to have three outputs: (i) Output 1: Development of a national road safety strategy, (ii) Output 2: Road safety auditing put into practice by the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic (MOTC KR), and (iii) Output 3: Latest technologies to provide safer transport services on the project roads.

The Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic informs that on June 10, 2022, a contract was signed with Alcazar Media LLC in the amount of 5,731,564 soms for the provision of services for conducting a PR campaign in support of reforms carried out by the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic, No. CAREC 1&3/CRP/PR-company MOTC/2022

The Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic, within the framework of the “Connecting Road Project, CAREC Corridors 1 and 3”, financed by the Asian Development Bank, is carrying out work on the reconstruction of the section of the Epkin - Dyikan highway (km. 89 + 500 - km. 159 +200), after a detailed study and survey of the project road section, 44 objects of historical and cultural heritage (HCH) were identified, which are located in close proximity to the project road.
